To begin your own art journaling practice, you'll receive a handmade journal or vintage/used book to work with (or both! it's your choice). Throughout the afternoon, we'll play with different approaches to filling your art journal with words, colors, images, and more. You'll receive guidance, materials, and inspiration every step of the way.
We'll take short yoga breaks to keep the body happy and ourselves grounded. By the end of the afternoon, you'll have your own art journal filled with pages of experiments and a kit of materials to take home so you can continue to fill your book and your creative cup.

Have you ever wondered how your yoga practice and writing practice could intersect and inform one another? Do you think the practices of yoga could inspire and grow your connection to creativity?
Whether you’re an experienced writer or hoping to begin a journaling or other writing practice, if you’re curious about connecting to your creative side through movement, language, and more, this workshop is for you.
Join me for an afternoon retreat of yoga and writing in community. We’ll circle up for a gentle, inclusive yoga practice designed to connect you to your inner creative voice.
The practice will be interwoven with quiet time for individual writing (guided with prompts) and other experiences meant to spark your creativity and foster a safe space to experiment with writing in community.
